Abstract: This book offers a rigorous consolidation of many of the concepts and includes the (surprisingly few and simple) axioms underlying the AHP. It contains material on group decision making and a chapter on the generalization of the AHP to networks with feedback and dependence. It also has a chapter on dynamic judgments with examples. Chapter 13 extends the mathematics of paired comparisons to the continuous case and applies it to derive the impulse firings of neurons in the brain. It also shows how the density of such firings can be used to understand information processing by the brain.
